Almost come to the end xxx

Eeee...not many of these left before ill be back in England. What am I going to do with all my time?!No more blogs to write and no more getting excited becuase i can use the internet or check the post....u guys have it easy..believe!!

In Nungwi on a proper girls holiday; me, cat and flic at the moment. Last Thursday we (me, cat, flic and rosie) headed off to Lushoto, a very small town up in the mountains in Western Usambara. Although the views were stunning and i am glad i went, it was FREEZING cold and there was very little/nothing to do! It was a nice few days where we just chilled out though, managed to get a walk in up to a german trench that was used in WW1 and then on to a very cute little farm for homemade cheese, bread and jam. We cut it short though because a) we were SHATTERED! 9:30-3:30 non stop was bad enough for me...dont know how u did it cat but hats off 2 u! and b) we wouldnt have been back in time for the England game if we'd carried on! Other than that, we didn't really do that much! Went to the market and had a browse, i bought a new kanga which im going to get made into a dress : )

On Monday morning we got a life down the very narrow and VERY winding road off an overlanders truck and got dropped off in Mombo to take the next bus heading towards Dar. After the palava of trying to fit our bags on the bus, which, at first was the thing that was going to stop us from being allowed on, we all piled on and watched the conductor throwing people out of their seats for us wazungu. (plural of mzungu) We finally arrived in Dar and jumped in a taxi. After taking Rosie to her overnight accomodation and saying bye :( we thought we'd 'head' (just for u Rosie! teeheehee!) over to the ferry port to catch the ferry over to Zanzibar. It was tight for time, and, on arrival at the port we were met by a guy who told us that the ferry was full. All the tickets had been bought by touts and they were selling them for TSH 30,000 when they should have been TSH 17,500. This guy also told us, however, that for only TSH16,000 more, we could fly to Zanzibar; a lot less hassle, a lot less time and a lot more fun! So that we did. We arrived in the airport and after only maybe half an hours waiting, we boarded the plane. Awww! The cutest plane in the world! A little 12 seater, I was sat directly behind the pilot and the views as we flew over the reef and the Indian Ocean were amazing. Definatly worth it methinks. When we arrived in Zanzibar, we got in a taxi and hit the road up to Nungwi, which is where we are now.

When i came to Zanzibar with the rents approximately 3 weeks ago, I thought it was just sods law that it was raining. And when we spoke to our friends who left Zanzibar for Dar at about the same time that we left Dar for Zanzibar, they said the weather had been stunning all week. So, when we woke up on Tuesday morning to grey clouds, i couldn't quite understand what was happening. The sun made an appearance for a little while on Tuesday, and again yesterday. Today, however, we were swamped by a very very large grey cloud which rained on us and kept us off the beach all day. One more day left in Nungwi, Zanzibar, AFRICA and I am in complete shock that its hotter in Rochdale than it where i am. The weather WILL get better because i'll cry if it doesnt!! Had a big night last night, very fun...cocktails on the beach and lots of drinking games with an overland truck we have now met in Arusha, then again in Dar and then again in the same apartments we're at! Off to Stone Town on Saturday where the plan was to watch the film festival but apparantly, it doesnt start till the 16th or something similar. That sucks! So i guess just a spice tour and a lot of wandering around looking at pretty buildings etc. Will update again though before I go back to Arusha.

Love u all tonz and tonz, 10 days!!! Man ,that is SCARY!
